Rock in Rio 2019 has released an app with the times of the attractions and information on the Cidade do Rock
The audience who is going to Rock in Rio can already start to plan for the greatest music and entertainment festival in the world – from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, passing by each one of the areas of the event, which this year will have more than 12 hours of party and 17 spaces for attractions. That’s because this Tuesday (3rd), Rock in Rio is releasing its first official app for smartphones, a direct channel for the audience to access the programming of the event first hand. Through the app you can check the show times of each stage, the map of the Cidade do Rock, food options, brand experiences and all information of services such as the best options to get to the Cidade do Rock. The app, available on IOS and Android operating systems, will also allow synchronization of wristband registration, ensuring a better experience at the festival.
“It will be the biggest Rock in Rio ever made and to make the most of the experiences the festival provides you need to plan and so the app is paramount for this organization. The application also has several features such as a streaming service to listen to the songs of the attractions within the app, navigate the map of the Cidade do Rock, identifying where different points of interest are, such as stages, arenas, toys and even the food options”, says Luis Justo, CEO of Rock in Rio.
Through the app the audience can follow all show times on all stages, which are still subject to adjustments until the date of the festival, including that the band Scorpions will close the Metal night of October 4. The German band, which has not returned to the festival since 1985, was especially invited to wrap up this iconic night, playing after Iron Maiden, which remains the headliner. So the Mundo Stage band sequence that night will be: Sepultura, Helloween, Iron Maiden, and Scorpions. This will be the only night that the headliner's showtime will change.
In addition to all the information, the app has a countdown for each attraction helping users with notifications so they can plan their schedules in order to not miss a minute of the selected shows. Information about the Arenas, Toys, Official Stores and other Cidade do Rock experiences will also be available, always up to date to let users know everything that's happening at the festival.
Until September 27, the first day of Rock in Rio, the app will gain new features such as the route function so users can move from one point to another within the Cidade do Rock, and the ability to meet friends, for users who log in via the social network and allow access to this information.
