Confirmed to make an appearance together at New Dance Order, two of the most important DJs in Brazil will run a set filled with hits and influences, telling the story of dancefloors from the 1980s until today. Marlboro’s Brazilian funk and Meme’s house music paved the way for DJs and MCs in Brazil and around the world. On October 5, these two giants will make an unforgettable appearance at the City of Rock, sure to make everybody dance.


DJ Meme is the most successful DJ, producer, and remixer in the country. He has done over 1500 remixes for different artists, and was awarded 23 gold records, 15 platinum records, and 3 diamond records. In 2013, Meme was chosen as Personality of the Year in a voting held at Rio Music Conference, the most important electronic music meeting in Brazil.  

DJ Marlboro is known as the musical creator of the “funk carioca” style, mixing hip-hop and electro with Brazilian popular music. He is also known as a songwriter and for his lyrics in Portuguese, having launched the careers of several Brazilian singers. He currently performs in Europe in the United States, presenting the rhythm that has become known worldwide in compilations such as “Rio Baile Funk - Favela Booty Beats”, “Slum Dunk presents Funk Carioca”, and “Favela on Blast”, by Diplo.
