LELLÊ & BLAYA
Lellê, from Rio de Janeiro, started 2019 in full swing, announcing her much anticipated solo career with the release of a single and a music video. In a more than special meeting, she will share the stage with Blaya, a Brazilian singer raised in Portugal who scored the hit “Faz Gostoso”, which reached the top of the charts in her country and exceeded 29 million views on YouTube.
21-year-old Lellê, a native of Rio, began 2019 announcing her much anticipated solo career with a single and music video to be released in the next months. Born in Praça Seca, on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, Lellê began her career almost by chance when, at age 11, she was already famous in her community and on the web due to her special and unique dancing style. Dance led her to star in and to be the only woman chosen for a video ad during the 2014 World Cup. At the time nicknamed Lellêzinha, this laid the foundation for Dream Team do Passinho. A pop-funk phenomenon, the group debuted in 2015 with the album "Aperta o Play" and toured in Brazil, USA, France, and Angola; in the next year, they performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games. In 2017, Dream Team do Passinho performed at that year's edition of Rock in Rio alongside American star Alicia Keys.
Karla Rodrigues, known as Blaya, was born in Brazil in 1987 and moved to Portugal when she was two years old. The singer was a member of Buraka Som Sistema since 2008, one of her most internationally successful projects at the time. With the group, she performed at major music festivals until 2016. In 2018, Blaya released the hit “Faz Gostoso”, which reached the first positions on the charts in her country and exceeded 29 million views on YouTube, becoming a top seller on streaming platforms.
