When it comes to swing, American guitar player Nile Rodgers is a model.  The artist, who will perform on the Mundo Stage on October 3, has built a solid career as a songwriter, producer, arranger and guitar player. Nile Rodgers won the Grammy awards in the Best Group Performance category with Daft Punk and Pharrel Williams, and Album of the Year for his work in Daft Punk's album "Random Access Memories". The artist, who closed the night in the Sunset stage in the 2017 Rock in Rio, puts everybody to dance with performances that place his band Chic in the forefront of the event. This time, he comes to Mundo Stage to repeat the performance to 100,000 who will be able to dance to the best of his music.


Chic's co-founder Rodgers was a pioneer in a musical language that created hits such as "Le Freak" and triggered the arrival of hip hop with "Good Times". Hs work with Chic and his production for artists such as David Bowie, Diana Ross, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Daft Punk, Avicii, Sigala, Sister Sledge, Disclosure and Sam Smith reflect the forefront of contemporary music. Nile Rodgers & Chic have recently released their first studio album after 26 years, "It's About Time". It was acclaimed by the critics and made the Top 10 in UK charts, with guest appearances by Mura Masa, NAO, Anderson Paak, Elton John, Lady Gaga e Emeli Sandé. Nile Rodgers is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has sold more than 500 million albums and 75 million singles all over the world.
