After 37 years of career, Slayer still makes their fast and insane thrash metal, and that is why they have such loyal fans. Regarded as the heaviest and most aggressive band among the Big Four - and even Metallica, Megadeath and Anthrax must agree with this - Slayer will return to City of Rock for an even more special performance. Present on Mundo Stage at the 2013 edition, the iconic Californian band Slayer will sure drive audiences wild with their heavy guitar solos. It will also be an opportunity to check out their farewell tour, as Rock in Rio will be the band’s last live performance of their career.
The latest work of the band formed by Tom Araya, Kerry King, Paul Bostaph and Gary Holtz, 2015's album "Repentless", secured the highest position ever on the US charts, when it peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200. It is also worth pointing out that the band boasts three albums among the 100 best metal albums of all time – with "Reign in Blood", from 1986, taking sixth place – according to Rolling Stone magazine.
